India at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics

India will compete at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics from 15–23 August. A team of 6 athletes was announced for the competition. Selected athletes have achieved one of the competition's qualifying standards.

10,000 m - Surendra Kumar Singh

400 m hurdles -  Joseph Abraham

20 km race walk - Babubhai Panocha 

Discuss Throw - Krishna Poonia and Seema Antil 

Hephtathlon - Susmita Singha Roy
